You can reach the small town of Castelfiorentino easily by train from Florence (Santa Maria Novella station), arriving in 45 minutes. For additional details, feel free to drop us a note.

We are happy to share additional details now or closer to the time you begin to coordinate your travel arrangements!

Public Transit

From Florence

Train - Santa Maria Novella station: Every hour there is a direct train that will drop you in town in about 45 minutes (€5.50 one way).

Via Taxi: A flat rate of €15  for 3-4 riders plus luggage.

Driving

Rental cars are an excellent option for getting to the venue and exploring the surrounding area. There are several companies at both the Florence and Pisa airports or in Florence near the train station. Companies to consider include Tryfthy, Hertz, or Maggiore.

Our wedding and reception will be hosted at Il Grande Prato on Saturday, September 15th. For more information on accommodation details, feel free to drop us a note, or visit the venue website.

Castelfiorentino is a country town plunged into the Chianti green hills in the heart of Tuscany and is located equidistant between Pisa and Florence.

Eat & Drink

Nothing is more important in Tuscany than food and drink. Luckily for us, breakfast will be prepared daily for everyone staying at the villa in addition to a planned pre-wedding meal and the opportunity to coordinate cooking classes onsite. For additional details on local restaurants, please feel free to reach out!

Play & Explore

While we plan to coordinate optional adventures and outings for the days leading up to the wedding, guests should feel empowered to explore the area autonomously! Plan a wine tour of Chianti, explore the local town, or pedal (or horseback) through the Tuscan country side.
